It’s a place where we create moments that turn into memories, and where memories last forever!

If you woke up this morning and didn’t toss your pillow at the sunlight streaming through the window, congratulations! And if you did, remember, it’s a new day, a new hour, a new minute – and the perfect time to shift your mindset!

There are 6570 days before children leave the comfort of the lil nest you’ve created. It’s true – you only have 18 birthdays, summers, and opportunities to string popcorn and dried oranges around the boughs of the Christmas tree! So, let’s create memories that will be remembered forever! How can you throw a pillow at that? I know, you can’t!

In 2020, I created the Lil Bird Studio site for our girls to have a way to document their crafting and everyday fun. While making memories, they learned how to create websites, and dabble in graphics, and they never left a soil bed without digging in it and finding beautiful rocks and stones. Funny enough though, we never found the time to write the blogs, and to pair the photographs to the posts. But now, as the kids are older, I’ve found lost minutes in the day while the girls are in their after-school activities or while they are hanging out with friends. I still want to create those memories in their teen years, so all is not lost – it’s just different!

As a mama of a lil bird that has already flown the nest (and another one that is getting close,) I, too, am finding my own stride in the midst of their beautiful independence. And, as Jeff and I prepare for that soon-to-be empty nest – like many of you have already experienced, and many more will experience in the future – I am sure we will find paths that open new doors to experience this beautiful life! Maybe this will be a good place for us all to share the past memories, and future adventures, together! Lil Bird Studio & Co. started out from the perspective of being a child, and has turned into a site for seeing the life we’ve lived, and living each day to the fullest going forward! But for now, let’s focus on today. Because today is a great day to make beautiful memories, regardless of where any of us are in life!
